The issue here is that the new player rewards do not give gear to help the player progress through dungeons, does not impart the importance of enhancing has on allies, or the need to deify allies into much stronger units that would help them progress through the dungeons. The dungeons are starting to get harder, much harder than their Hero ally, 2 random SSS and Draco can clear, especially undergeared from raiding difficulty and under enhanced from the RNG factor and seemingly small gains that enhancing does give. These raids are no longer easily clear-able by themselves and are actually killing them and their bot allies very frequently due to the low population of players raiding the lower difficulties. Once someone were to hit Chapter 3 they'd realize that raids are starting to be influenced by Dragon Busters and Dark Souls. However the issue is that none of this actually helps them progress outside Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Or worse if someone were to chose the wrong draco ally, luckily most all of them not named Greysoul are quite competent allies and would be a fine choice.
If someone were to use the hero select ticket on someone like Loki than if they were to awaken him they'd find themselves with a sub-par awaken and having what's considered one of the worst allies in the game in their party. The issue with this is that anyone who does not do prior research about the game will more than likely waste these rewards on allies before realizing that they were actually presented with a very important decision that does have an impact on their progression through Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. The new player rewards currently are as follows
The lack of starting rewards carrying relevence and a lack of a clear objective, besides logging in 7 days, are both major drawbacks to any new player trying to join the game for the first time. The problem with this is both the player bases frustration and leaving, however the larger problem is that new players do not feel incentivized to join the game and continue playing. The game has been suffering slow yet steady population drop.
